Privacy
This page is a plain-language summary for the CareCheck NG MVP. It is not a substitute for full legal advice before a public launch.
What we store
- Carer profile information: name, contact details, bio, skills, languages, care types, care-need tags, location, guarantor details and qualifications.
- Documents uploaded by the carer, such as certificates and police certificates, and their issue and expiry dates.
- Verification timestamps for identity checks. We do not display a carer's full NIN or BVN on their public profile, and we do not ask for or store the raw NIN or BVN itself.
- Where live verification is manual document review, the ID document photo and selfie a carer submits. These are visible only to CareCheck admins carrying out the review, are used only for that purpose, and are not shared or sold.
- Enquiry and concern report data submitted by families, including any contact details a family chooses to share.
Third-party processors
Live identity verification is currently a manual review carried out by the CareCheck team directly, not a third-party vendor. A future version of CareCheck may use a third-party identity verification vendor instead, which would process data on our behalf under its own security and privacy commitments; this page will be updated before that changes. Payments, where enabled, are processed by a third-party payment provider.
How we use data
Profile information is used to show families a carer's record. Enquiry and concern report data is used to connect families with carers and to review listing integrity. We do not sell personal data.
Your choices
Carers can update or remove profile information from their dashboard. Families can contact support to request that enquiry or report data be removed.
